Meet the Summer Interns: Introducing Amy
Hello everyone! My name is Amy Warmenhoven and I am one of the summer interns for Curator. I will be entering my senior year at Washington State University this fall, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Strategic Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Health Communications and Promotions. I am passionate about PR because this field encourages me to be creative, unique and authentic. I look forward to gaining professional skills by working with the mentors and clients at Curator.
I grew up in the Pacific Northwest, where I am fortunate to be surrounded by endless lakes, mountains and hiking trails. Contrary to where I attend college in the middle of wheat fields, I am always going on new adventures and chasing every sunset I can. I recently studied abroad in Europe where I fell in love with traveling. In my free time, I love to be outdoors paddleboarding, snowshoeing, hiking, skiing or running. Not to mention treating myself at a local smoothie bowl shop afterward.
Living a healthy lifestyle has always been an important part of my life. It is something that I am passionate about and would like to incorporate into my future career. Interning for a lifestyle PR firm, such as Curator, is a really special opportunity for me because this company aligns with my values, personality and client-focus. My ultimate career goal is to work for a healthcare PR firm or to start my own communications company someday.
I am very excited to begin my professional journey and explore what the world of PR has to offer. Throughout this internship, I look forward to learning new skills, gaining hands-on experience working with clients and continuing to develop my creative abilities.
As always, go Cougs!
