Meet the Fall Interns: Last, but not least, it's Mark!
Hi everyone! My name is Mark Workinger and I am one of the lucky fall interns at Curator. I am currently a senior at the University of Washington majoring in communications and minoring in Diversity. I have always had an interest in public relations so when I saw the opportunity to intern at Curator I knew I had to apply. I am beyond ecstatic to be one of Curators interns this fall. I have already learned so much and I am excited to continue learning about PR over the next couple of weeks.
I am a Seattle native, born and raised in the Beacon Hill area. I moved in high school and eventually wound up living in the Northgate area. While I am not always a fan of the rain, I love Seattle and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. What other city can you have a rainstorm, blizzard, and clear sunny skies all in one day? Also, I am a huge coffee drinker! Luckily for me there is a Starbucks on every street to help fuel my cold brew addiction.
If I am not at Curator, I will probably be on campus studying in Suzzallo Library or working at Regal Cinemas! Though if I do have some free time, I will probably be at home binging Grey’s Anatomy or Riverdale or going out to Capitol Hill with my friends. I also love to travel! Since I’m a foodie, my trips usually revolve around the food I am going to eat.
I’m excited to gain real world knowledge of what it’s like to work for an actual PR agency. While at Curator, I am looking forward to learning about crisis management and how to work through these kinds of situations. I cannot wait to see what these next few weeks might have in store for me!
