New Hire in the House: Erin Brown
Hi there! I’m Erin Brown, a recent graduate of the University of Alabama and the newest Assistant Account Executive at Curator.
Since joining the team three weeks ago, it’s been a fun and busy experience, filled with great clients and even better co-workers. When I entered the office on my first day, I was welcomed with open arms, which made the move to a new city feel incredibly easy. While I’ve hit a few learning curves these past few weeks, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’m working with the best of the best and developing skills I may have never received if I stayed within my comfort zone.
Prior to joining Curator, I’ve been chasing my dreams from across the country in a title town known as Tuscaloosa, Ala. – Roll Tide! While attending the University of Alabama, and my fair share of SEC football games, I submerged myself within the school-run public relations firm, Capstone Agency. Through Capstone Agency, I had the opportunity to create integrated marketing campaigns for nationally recognized brands and participated in public relations work for local organizations throughout the Tuscaloosa community – all of which solidified my love for this industry.
Aside from PR, I have a passion for exploring the outdoors. While many warned me of the Seattle rain, I’ve had no issue finding sunny weather to hike trails along the beach at Lincoln Park or in the forests near Seahurst. To be honest, it’s a refreshing change from the never-ending heat wave I grew up with in Houston.
As spring quickly approaches, I hope to truly feel like a Washingtonian. More importantly, I hope to develop more within my career and, perhaps, one day understand the bus system. For now, I’m just enjoying the incredible views and the fact I never have to search for a good cup of coffee.
